Projects
- Owner’s Project Manager for a Massachusetts public construction project, the renovation of 20,000 sf for Excel Academy Charter School. The project requires zoning relief and is subject to the Boston Redevelopment Authority’s Small Project Review process. The project consists of a comprehensive renovation of a 125-year-old school building and an addition to create a new entrance and community space. The renovation will include new building systems, new elevator, structural reinforcement, complete interior fit-up including restoration work, and site improvements.
- Owner’s Project Manager for the Shepherd Hill Regional High School renovation project consisting of window and door replacement under the MSBA Green Repair Program.
- Owner’s Project Manager for the Boston Collegiate Charter School. Managed the architect selection process through the DCAM designer selection board, the bidding process of contractors and subcontractors, and administration services during construction.
- Feasibility Studies, Massachusetts College of Art (MassArt), Boston. As Director of Facilities Planning and Capital Projects at MassArt, Larry managed a series of planning studies to guide the revitalization of the nine-building urban campus.
- Feasibility Studies, Massachusetts College Building Authority (MSCBA). Larry completed a number of feasibility studies for the Massachusetts State College Building Authority (MSCBA) while he was a principal in his own architectural firm, Clark Borins & Associates.
- Owner’s Project Manager overseeing design, construction and initial occupancy of the $24 million Artists’ Residence Massachusetts College of Art, Boston for the Massachusetts State College Building Authority.
- Master Plan Implementation Study, University of Massachusetts Boston. Working as a Project Manager at RF Walsh, Larry completed a Master Plan Implementation Study for the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM).
