Lowell Community Charter Public School

Lowell, MA

Pinck & Co. was OPM for the fit out of a new third floor space in the historic Appleton Mill building to serve as expanded space for Lowell Community Charter Public School (LCCPS). LCCPS had occupied the first and second floors for a decade and required more space to accommodate an enrollment expansion - including adding 7th and 8th grade programs - for a total of 800 students. The project required the renovation of 17,000 SF on the third floor of Mill Building 5 and the creation of 8-10 classrooms, storage, offices, an interconnecting stair between the second and third floors, and the installation of a 3-stop elevator (within a 5-story building).
